PixelSquid is great because it’s not too technical. With imagination and creativity, you can use these materials to create new things outside of true 3D. Although I like 3D, it is much faster in many ways, because I can find any object in 3 clicks, get the right angle I want and save a lot of time by not blurring and focusing on composing the image. .

The year “2157” is the time I used to think about the future when I was young. I would draw comic books set in that year and think about what it would look like and if I would live to see it. have! Working on this picture was a dream – yet fun, intense, challenging and very humbling. I hope I have done my heroes justice. enjoy it

Advanced Photoshop Compositing: Mastering Light & Color With Stock Images

This photo captures 22 items and a variety of photos I took while attending the 2016 Adobe MAX conference in San Diego. Each of these items is used literally or by whipping up different items and parts to create new items.

I’m a huge science fiction fan and have been since I was a kid. With this photo I wanted to do something historical and I wanted to pay tribute to my favorite artists like Chris Foss, David René Christensen, Matthew Borrett, John Harris, Peter Elson and new talents like Pascal Blanché, Sparth and others – all incredible artists and painters.

While searching for inspiration images, I was reminded of another Christmas long ago when I came across a spaceship art book by Chris Foss. I was very surprised because I had never seen anything like it. The art was ahead of its time and still refreshing today.

Also, it’s important to have some cool music to work with to get into the mood of it all. So a special shout out to Brian Hazard from Color Theory for using his synthwave music! Thanks!

10 Amazing Things Photoshop Can Do

I wanted to tell a story about attending an Adobe MAX conference in the future, maybe even off-world. Many photos from an event I attended in 2016 were used in the creation of this image. So Mita!

Here are the images I used at Adobe MAX 2016. They were from the actual event and party in San Diego. And when the Chicago Cubs won the World Series!

Sculptor Janet Echelman, known for her lifelike mesh sculptures installed in public spaces around the world, explains how a missing paint shipment in 1997 forced her to find new ways to create.

Finding good inspirational pictures is not that difficult. It’s about choosing design, color, structure and materials that reflect the feeling I want. I also love synths and synthwave music, so I wanted to incorporate some of that retro feel, hence the magenta, purple and vibes.

How To Master Photoshop: Expert Tips & Techniques

Now that I’m inspired and have my mood board, it’s time to start the visual development process and draw some icons. I use Procreate on my iPad to sketch out some ideas. While I love using my Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop, there’s something to be said for laying on the couch and drawing while binge-watching your favorite Netflix show.

The purpose of this activity is to generate many ideas as quickly as possible. While some icons may look finished, mine are very loose. So very quickly I made four icons with four different meanings of the same idea, without investing much time.

It usually works best to start your image with a base or “plate”. This image contains parts of the elements required for your image. For this photo, I used a panorama of Shinjuku train station while on vacation in Tokyo. The picture was perfect when I walked out and saw the big curved bridge, and I just knew I wanted to use it in some art.

I also live in Chicago, I was in a hospital where the building design looked like it was from a spaceship or the future. Again I wanted to incorporate this into my other art. This was a great opportunity.

2. Photo Manipulation

In Photoshop I had to combine the images with Photomerge. After that I had to make a mask to quickly combine the two, adjust the view and then make my sight guides for the main back plate.

With Adobe Photoshop and my photo tools and utilities, that’s when the magic starts to happen. Importing, hiding and wrapping each element to “fit in” seamlessly are the goals. This part of the process was fun, but also because of the number of items and details, it was definitely boring.

The important part to remember is to work from the back to the front and build your image. As in real life, the sky is “behind” everything, and everything from the horizon to you is stacked on top of each other as the main visual element. You want to copy this to the Layers panel.

I try to base everything I bring in and adjust the value and color while taking the time to review the black and white prints for depth comparison. You can’t have great color without great value. The focus of your image must be “learned” well by designing a composition that supports focus and light.

Adobe Photoshop For Graphics: From Basic To Advanced

If you’ve put together your design and materials and you feel like you’re done, you’re not. This is where you bring that extra 10% of polish by using color grading, sharpening and filter effects to really make your image pop.

Using additional plugins like Filter Forge with smart objects is a great way to take your images beyond what Photoshop can do, into another world!
