Hello friends and welcome to my Photoshop in five tutorials! Today we’re going to learn more about something that’s in demand in the hybrid scrapbook world: how do you use a digital alphabet in hybrid scrapbook layouts? Are there easy ways to do this? I have a few basic techniques that I use all the time, so check out my YouTube tutorial and I’ll give you quick instructions below! This post was inspired by some great ideas from our creative team, and you can see their inspiring work here.
Basic Techniques For Creating A Scrapbook Layout In Photoshop
For today’s layout, I’ll call it a confirmation page. On these pages I try to remind myself what I want to do each month. I like to use patterned paper and mixed media elements, and for this page I chose to use the Aflutter digital kit with stickers, alphabets and ellipses. For fun decorations, I also added the great alphabet numbers from Part 2 and Part 4. Here are three ways to create hybrid elements using the alphanumeric alphabet on this page:
Finding Your Style
Use the digital alphabet to quote directly onto a background, journal card, or other item in your digital collection. A quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson made me happy. It inspired me to take funny photos, no matter how crazy! But it made me want to add more smiling photos to my albums
This inspired my list of things I want to focus on this month. when you talk about things
Alphabets lets you use brushes and numeric alphabets as stamps. You can change the size and color to match your design. In Part 4 of the Alphabet I found the smallest stamped heart, and it inspired me to make hexagon stamps. I also wrote my words on the heart fibers and pressed them onto the parchment for a fun layer.
I hope this inspires you to play with the digital alphabet and create a confirmation page for your album! In addition to a full tutorial and video editing, you can watch it here: Adobe Photoshop offers interesting tools and features that allow users to explore a wide range of ideas. Photoshop is an essential program that I use for many of my projects, from creating scrapbook pages, arranging photos, creating texture styles and fonts, and film editing.

The photo above was taken with Photoshop. I added a photo of my grandfather and some digital images that I took and got from various digital sites.
The dark blue background page with vintage script was created using a combination of styles, colors, digital stamps and different fonts. To give the text a wavy effect, I used the curved text command in the top menu. This page is on Pixel Scrapper, where I am a Level 3 Commons graphic designer.
The wooden background image was created using the “Weathered Wood” page from the Multimedia Crafts Digital Etsy kit.
I added additional png images from Pixel Scrapper and Manu Design Studio.

In addition to photography and photo editing, I make my own scrapbook paper. Photoshop offers a variety of colors, styles, layers, shapes, effects, and blending options to give your pages the look you want. Additionally, I have created Multimedia Craft Digital Freebies on this site, as well as Multimedia Crafts Digital, Pixel Scrapper, and the Multimedia Crafts Digital Facebook page where you can find more freebies.
My favorite thing about Photoshop is creating moving images. As if editing and taking photos isn’t enough, you can also record videos and movies from this app. This is what I use to make my YouTube videos. While Adobe Premiere Pro is the main movie editing software used, Adobe Photoshop can do everything you need on a budget.
A new movie and video file will open on the left. On the right are multiple layers, including audio clips, video clips, text, still images, and more. video is in progress.
With Adobe Photoshop you can create any kind of digital art. Even if you get confused, you can undo your changes. You can store your files anywhere and work on multiple devices. If you like digital design and have never used Photoshop, you should give it a try. It’s a lot of fun and it gives a high quality to your work.

I am a full-time working woman and mother of three sons. I love all kinds of crafts; From digital drafts to custom to immersive mixed media projects. I love learning from other people and getting to know the big world of art. Creativity is in my blood. Since I was a kid I’ve always drawn, and now with social media (thanks YouTube, Pinterest, Google Images, etc.) I always draw, whatever project I’m going to be working on that day. I don’t even know where to start. Should I make cards or make my own clay? Or I should make a wall hanging for the room. I made a ridiculous decision about what I wanted to do. Moreover, I became an artist. From paint, to dies and other cutting machines, to scrapbook paper and other designer cards and embellishments, I’ve turned my small kitchen corner into a craft studio. I’m surprised my husband hasn’t told me to get rid of all the craft supplies…i.e. The addiction to collecting art was partly fueled by the desire to learn more about digitally ordering waste. This is all new to me, but I have invested in Adobe Photoshop and have been working on creating album covers, pages, brushes, etc. I watch YouTube to learn different layering techniques. Now I can digitally take my design to the next level. Show more posts If you want to know how to resize your photos to get the right fit for album layouts, read on.
As a scrapbooker I work with photos of many different sizes. Previously, all my photos were printed in 6×4 format, and then I cut them out with a trimmer. This is a very fast way to do it, but it means you can get very small images in scattered frames.
There are more advanced ways to do this today, meaning you can increase the size of your image in a smaller frame.
Shapes, Styles And Repetition (photoshop)
Today I’ll show you how to edit your album layout images with the free Canva app.
This layout here is a great example of how my scrapbooking process has changed over the years. I created this layout with my photos in mind, but used photo editors like ‘play’ to make the layout look the way I wanted. I only had four photos from the event, but I knew I wanted to use them all on one page. So what mattered was that it worked.
This may sound like a scrapbooking method, but it’s great if you don’t have your photos printed yet (and I bet you don’t have many, I mean this phone right…?!!). After I plan my table, I arrange my photos perfectly.
With the method I’m going to show you, you can quickly and easily edit your photos and improve the photo in the frame. Then you print (using your preferred method) and when you get your images back, crop them and place them directly on your page.

Here’s a step-by-step video that walks you through the process of formatting your photos to 3×4, 3×3, and 2×2 photos. You can edit the image in that frame to select the part(s) you actually want to isolate.
After this installation, all you have to do is open the file, upload the images you want to format, drag and drop them, and voila!
